ESG Strategy & Change Leadership Advisor

Most ESG reports are written. Very few are lived.

Why ESG Strategies Stay on Paper

Companies publish ESG reports every year. The frameworks are adopted, the policies are written, the committees are formed. On paper, everything looks committed. But when you look at what actually changes on the ground, the gap is enormous.

The problem isn't a lack of knowledge. Most sustainability teams know the frameworks inside out. The gap is between knowing and doing — between what the policy says and how people behave when no one is watching.

ESG change doesn't fail at the strategy level. It fails at the execution level.

You don't have a knowledge problem. You have an execution problem.

ESG policies that look comprehensive in board papers but never translate into daily operational decisions
ESG reports that satisfy disclosure requirements but don't drive real sustainability outcomes
ESG managers who understand the frameworks but can't get buy-in from the business units that need to act
Cross-cultural teams where ESG intent is shared but execution falls apart across regions and business units

The ESG Dojo

Most ESG training gives your team the frameworks and stops there. They can recite the standards. They can fill in the disclosures. But the organisation doesn't change. The ESG Dojo works differently. It builds the capability, conviction, and daily discipline your people need to make ESG real — not just reported.

The Dojo uses a progressive belt system, inspired by martial arts discipline. Each belt builds on the last, taking your people from ESG literacy to ESG mastery.

Why This Works

Most ESG training teaches frameworks and stops. The ESG Dojo combines PROSCI change methodology with ESG-specific strategy so that what gets learned actually gets lived. PROSCI provides the structure for adoption and sustainability. ESG provides the domain depth. Together, they close the gap between policy and practice — permanently.

White Belt — ESG Essentials

Build the foundation. Understand what ESG really means, why it matters to your business, and how the global landscape is shifting. No jargon. No assumptions. Just clarity.

For teams new to ESG or needing a shared baseline Outcome: Shared ESG vocabulary and a clear starting point for action
Yellow Belt — ESG Reporting & Disclosure

Navigate the reporting landscape with confidence. GRI, ISSB, Bursa CSI — learn what applies to you, how to collect the right data, and how to tell a credible sustainability story.

For finance, compliance, and sustainability reporting teams Outcome: Credible sustainability reports that meet disclosure requirements
Green Belt — ESG Integration

Move ESG from a reporting exercise into business decision-making. Learn to embed ESG criteria into procurement, risk, investment, and operations so it becomes how you work, not something extra you do.

For operational leaders, procurement, and risk managers Outcome: ESG criteria embedded in procurement, risk, and investment decisions
Brown Belt — ESG Strategy & Leadership

Lead from the front. Build ESG strategy that aligns with business objectives, earn board-level buy-in, and drive change that outlasts any single report or reporting cycle.

For senior leaders, board members, and C-suite Outcome: Board-level ESG strategy aligned to business objectives
Black Belt — ESG Mastery

Sustain it. Scale it. Own it. At this level, ESG is no longer a programme — it's part of how the organisation thinks, decides, and competes. Build internal champions, embed accountability, and create a culture where sustainability is lived, not just reported.

For ESG leaders, change agents, and programme owners Outcome: Self-sustaining ESG culture that outlasts any single programme

About Dayana

Dr Dayana Chaskar

Dr Dayana Chaskar holds a PhD from Kyoto University, where her research revealed that organisations with strong cultural alignment between ESG values and internal behaviours adopted sustainability practices up to three times faster than those relying on policy alone — and that this alignment, not regulation, was the primary driver of lasting change. That academic depth is the backbone of everything she does — but it's the 17 years of putting it into practice across 48 countries that makes the difference.

She created the ESG Dojo framework because she saw the same pattern everywhere: organisations with strong ESG commitments on paper but weak execution on the ground. The Dojo closes that gap by building capability progressively, the way martial arts builds mastery — from fundamentals to strategy to ownership.

Recognised as a Global Top 101 L&D Leader by World HRD Congress, Dayana combines rigorous ESG knowledge with deep change management expertise. She doesn't just teach the frameworks. She builds the conviction and discipline that makes ESG real inside organisations. Her work with Abundant Impact extends her reach across ASEAN as part of a consortium of specialist trainers.

Answers Before You Ask

The ESG Dojo is a progressive 5-belt framework that builds ESG capability from essentials to mastery. Inspired by martial arts discipline, each belt level — White, Yellow, Green, Brown, Black — builds on the last, taking your people from ESG literacy through reporting, integration, strategy, and ultimately to full organisational ownership. It's designed for organisations that are tired of ESG staying on paper.

Yes. All of Dayana's programmes are HRD Corp claimable. Malaysian companies can offset training costs through their HRD Corp levy account, making it cost-effective to build ESG capability across your organisation.

Dayana currently runs six signature programmes: ESG Governance & Board Readiness, ISSB & IFRS S1/S2 Compliance, ESG Change Acceleration (flagship), Sustainability Culture & Communication, Workplace Mental Wellness for ESG, and Confronting Sexual & Power Harassment. Programmes range from 1 to 2 days and can be tailored to your team's context and objectives.

ESG change has a unique challenge: it requires collaboration across every function — operations, finance, procurement, HR, legal — not just one department. It also involves external stakeholders, regulatory timelines, and cultural shifts that go deeper than typical transformation programmes. Dayana's approach combines PROSCI change methodology with ESG-specific strategy, built through years of working across 48 countries and cross-cultural environments.
